Planimetric Map

This map represents one plane, the horizonal and vertical axis. There is no vertical relief in the map, only the X-Y axis. Virtually all of the maps we look at on paper are planimetric, with the advent of the digital world, 3-D maps have grown in mapping society, but are still a large minority.
